Stinson Studios: Bark Edge Bowl 11"
Member Pricing: $103.50
Stinson Studios is a two generation family woodworking business dating back to 1982.
Locally sourced Canadian materials are key to the success of these bowls. They are created using the rich natural spaulting patterns that can be found in aged or scarred wood.
The live bark edge combines with the smooth interior to reflect a balance between rugged natural beauty and functional form. Stinson Studio maintains as much of the natural tree as possible in the finished piece, and depending on the amount of colour in the individual bowl, it may range from freshly elegant to darkly mysterious. Turned on a custom lathe, bowls are nested to eliminate waste, creating unique colouring and variations in size and depth between bowls. Each bowl is refreshingly unique.
Dimensions: 11" diameter, 4" deep
Made in Canada, of Canadian Maple
Care: Protect wood with a light cooking oil prior to serving strongly coloured items - strawberries, balsamic or red wine vinegar. After use, wipe with a wet cloth; do not soak in water or apply soap directly to wood.
